Lighting and a little brag session!

 With all the fun Holiday Mini Sessions that have been happening around here, I've been noticing that we have been blessed with some seriously unbelievable 5 o'clock light! Have you noticed this? The lowering sun hitting the red,yellow and orange trees? Be still my heart! I had to take advantage of this and take a few pics of my little guy

So, first off I am going to let you in on a little secret. These photos were taken on the sidewalk right outside my house. Why? Because it had awesome light and I had about 10 minutes before his soccer game to get this done! I grabbed a handful of leaves and staged this little scene. Notice this first picture and the lighting of it.... 

 Then, this one! I grabbed this light by squatting down a little further and letting the sunshine in the photo. The sun is kind of on the side of him so that he doesn't get darkened with the photo. Grab your camera (point and shoots are welcome too) and experiment a little. You'll be suprised at what you can get just by squatting down a little, turning your camera for a little tilt or taking a step to one side or the other.

 Then...let your kiddo be a kiddo! ;) Now, for the bragging... I mean, isn't he the cutest?! I'm having so much fun with him at this age. Yes, he may have a bazillion questions for me all.day.long, but he is such a sweetheart and so unbelievably goofy!!

Ok, now go grab your camera and try out that lighting..... I mean, if a 5 year old can do it, so can you ;)
