Luke W. Senior Photos

 This is Luke. A fun, nice, guitar playing, college prepping, smart SENIOR!

 I work at the hospital with Luke's mom. She is a gifted nurse and a devoted mother. She has told me so many good things about Luke, so it was nice to get to spend a little time with him. 

 During these shots, I told him to just play while I messed around with the camera for a bit. He is a talented guitar player!

 He is a great kid with a bright future! I have no doubts he will go on to do great and wonderful things. 

Thanks Luke! You're a Senior now, play in the middle of road if ya feel like it!

The "V" Family

 It's always a good time with the "V" family! They are a close knit bunch and full of personality. 

 We caught some beautiful summer evening light and had that park to ourselves. We grabbed some family shots and then some portraits for their beautiful girls!

Hollis Baptism

 My handsome nephew is turning 8 soon and has chosen to be baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is such a great kid! He is patient, kind and a perfect mix of tough and sweet. He loves dinosaurs, dirt bikes and is an amazing artist! Really though, his drawing skills are incredible!

 We're so proud of him and excited to celebrate his big day with him!

The "W" family

I had a great time the other night photographing the "W" family. They welcomed me right in to their unbelievable back yard and let me snap a few photos of them. Such a beautiful property with such a wonderful family. I love extended family shoots. I feel like I get to be part of their family reunion for a hour or so. I know how hard it can be to get all the adult children and their kids together so it is always a special time.

 As we were wrapping up, one of the families asked for a final request...to photograph them jumping in to the pond! I had to say, I was impressed. I know all the work it takes to get my family, and especially myself, ready for pictures. I'm not sure before this shoot I'd be willing to jump in the pool afterwards, but I left inspired! Haha! It looked so fun and I love that they were willing to do it!

Prom 2017

 Ah, prom...This shoot brought me right back to my own prom...I remember the sparkly lavender dress, the (very big) up do-thank goodness that trend has died down a bit- I remember going to dinner, driving to the dance....and then waiting in line for an hour for stiff, generic, photos. What a fun idea to hire a photographer for your group and get some outdoor shots, group shots, etc. These kids are not only bright, they are also very musically talented. In fact, they missed their actual prom due to a band competition held in Seattle. They competed and won first place! They decided they would create their own fun, formal evening the following weekend though, and I'm so glad they asked me to be a part of it. 

We laughed, we wedding crashed, we got a few sore knees, but I hope they had as much fun as I did taking their photos! Thank you prom crew! CONGRATULATIONS!!

 I love this photo! I think my favorite part is the expression on mom's (pink dress) face. Look at all those cameras up and smiles from friends and family!

This was such a fun experience for me. It's always a privilege to be with a couple on their wedding day. This couple was no exception. They are laid back, kind and fun with lots of humor mixed in! I am so excited for them and their life together. Congratulations W&T!
