Family Photos!

Sadly, I finally broke my "no rain" streak during my holiday special, with this family. They were great sports and aren't even Washington natives!

They have a wonderful little family that I have enjoyed getting to know.

This little girl is another one my son's buddies. She gave me so many pretty smiles, and really only the loud train whistle could get a frown out of her :)

This little girl is a new addition to their darling family. She just went along with the flow.

Chambers Bay

I got the chance to spend an afternoon with this fun family! They are beach goers, so we thought Chambers Bay would be a perfect location to take some family shots. It turned out to be a gorgeous, yet cold (of course), day.
These boys seem to be best of friends! They had a lot of fun running and climbing on the cool cement pilings.

Please excuse my cheesy title to this post, but I couldn't think of anything more fitting. We were all SOO cold during this shoot! I mean, by the end, I could not push the button on my camera to take any more photos. My body had decided my fingers were no longer important enough to save!

Luckily, these people are some of my closest friends. We ended up just laughing about how cold we were and even getting a few cute shots in too.

They have such a fun family and Kason and I are truly thankful for their friendship in our lives!

It was a CHILLY morning when this brave family met me for a Holiday photo shoot!

The kids really were great sports. We had to compromise a little bit for those priceless smiles. We added coats, then blankets and then resorted to the never-fail technique..bribery..with a sucker! Works every time :)

These two are awesome parents. They just let it happen and didn't get flustered!

I have been giddy about this shoot ever since these darling girls' mom called me and told me what she had envisioned for their shoot. Graffiti! Perfect!

I had so much fun at this shoot. These sisters are SO sweet to eachother and love eachother so much. I asked the youngest what her favorite thing to do was, her reply "Play with my big sissy!"

Isn't she gorgeous? I'm pretty sure at her age I had thick bangs, a horrible bob and was completly akward.

Props to their mom who was creative enough to bring them dressed like this! I was so excited when I saw them get out of the car! Look how much it adds to the image!

Josh and Karlye

I think I've said this before, but one of my favorite parts of portrait photography is getting to celebrate special moments in my friend's, family's and new client's lives. I had the chance to go take some photos of my friend Karlye and her fiancee', Josh. I used to work the evening shift at the hospital with Karlye. Some nights were crazy busy and some nights were really slow. On those nights we would get some time to sit and chat and get to know some of the details of our co-worker's lives. I got to hear lots of stories from their dating life, to the night they got engaged, bought their first house etc. It was fun to actually spend some time with both of them and document their engagment! Congratulations you guys, I'm SO happy for you! :)

SO happy!

I'm not sure who's happier, these two to be together, or me, for them! This is my best friend Patricia and her fiancee Todd. "Parch", as I call her, and I have known each other since 8th grade. We have been through a lot together and it makes me so happy to see her so happy!
These two were such great sports and it seemed the best shots were when I would turn around and catch them just being them. Such as this shot!

Congrats you two!
